With your help we will raise funds to support these four groups doing important mutual aid work in their community. We will split and distribute all proceeds from Refugee Welcome Week events equally and directly to the people working tirelessly on the ground in Gaza, Khartoum, Aman, and Goma.
Why do it through RWW? We believe that we will be able to provide every group with more money as all donations will be split and it will not have to go to either one or the other.
Every amount, no matter how little, helps.

Overview
- **Fund Water Trucks in Khan Younis, Gaza, Palestine:** The group is trying to provide as many displaced camps in Khan Younis with drinking water. Each 1,000L is a bit over $50. This amount includes commission and transportation).
- **Fight Hunger in Sudan: The Khartoum Kitchen appeal:** “Our first Kitchen in Al Hitana Omdurman has been a success. Alleviating hunger in the area by feeding 1,250 of the most needy people daily. The fortified stew we provide with bread is not only intended to provide sustenance but to also be nutritionally balanced. Since our kitchen in Al Hitana opened we have proceeded to rapidly setup new kitchens across the Khartoum State area. With the hope of being able to feed as many hungry people as possible. We currently directly run 12 fully fledged Kitchens as well as 5 partner kitchens which we support by covering their rice needs.”
- **The Aman Project: An open door for LGBTI+ refugees in Turkey:** The Aman Project provides shelter, education and other opportunities to more than 100 homeless LGBTI+ refugees in Turkey. Along with direct assistance to LGBTI+ refugees in vital issues such as rent payment, food and medicine supply. Volunteers also help LGBTI+ refugees in their asylum applications to other countries. "We have encountered emergencies many times. Refugee LGBTI+s are not accepted by society in Turkey. People being kicked out of home when their gender identities are found out by their friends and families is a situation we have encountered many times.”
- Goma Upendo - Building 100 Shelters: Congo
In the eastern part of the country, in displacement camps, thousands of families live in temporary shelters, often ill-suited to the weather conditions. Torn from their homes, they endure rain, cold, and intense heat every day. Their living conditions are dire, but we have a dream: to build 100 temporary shelters to provide these families with a dignified and secure refuge.
